ABA Services Focused on Meaningful, Functional Outcomes

Ascend Autism’s center provides a warm, supportive, and structured environment where young children receive individualized, intensive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services based on their unique clinical needs and treatment goals.

Our programming focuses on building functional communication, social interaction, learning readiness, adaptive skills, and independence, while reducing behaviors that interfere with learning and participation. Through individualized treatment and opportunities to practice skills across daily routines and group activities, children are supported in acquiring and generalizing skills across settings.

Our goal is to achieve meaningful, measureable progress through intensive, goal-directed treatment, with the aim of helping children acquire essential skills efficiently and transition to less intensive levels of support duration of services when clinically appropriate.

Comprehensive Programming

ABA Services Focused on Meaningful, Functional Outcomes
Our ABA services are designed to help children develop the skills they need to communicate effectively, participate successfully in daily routines, build independence, and engage meaningfully with others.

  • Reduce Interfering Behaviors: Decrease behaviors that interfere with learning, communication, safety, and participation in daily activities.
  • Build Functional Communication: Increase language and communication skills so children can effectively express their needs, wants, feelings, and choices.
  • Increase Attention & Learning Readiness: Develop attention, focus, following directions, and other foundational skills needed to engage successfully in learning activities.
  • Strengthen Social & Adaptive Skills: Improve social communication, interaction, play, flexibility, and age-appropriate participation with peers and adults.
  • Develop School-Readiness Skills: Build the behavioral, communication, social, and learning skill necessary for successful participation in the school environment.

Flexible Scheduling & Planned Titration of Services

Our program is designed with a planned progression of treatment intensity based on each child's clinical progress, skill, acquisition, and changing level of need.

 

  • Individualized Treatment Intensity: Services may begin at a higher intensity, such as up to 40 hours per week, when clinically indicated, and are systematically adjusted as the child demonstrates progress.
  • Step-Down Approach: As skills become established and generalized across settings, treatment intensity may be titrated from 40 hours toward 20 hours per week or less, based on clinical need and treatment outcomes. 
  • Flexible Scheduling: Scheduling is designed to accommodate the child’s developmental needs, treatment goals, and progression toward school participation and great independence. 
  • Built-In Social Skills Programming: Daily opportunities for peer interaction, group participation, communication, flexibility, and social problem-soliving help children develop the skills needed to function successfully with less intensive support.
  • Focused on Successful Discharge: Treatment is designed with discharge and transition in mind from the beginning. As children meet treatment goals and demonstrate increased independence, services can be systematically reduced with the goal of transition to lower levels of support following discharge, when clinically appropriate.
 
Our goal is not simply to provide more services, it is to provide the right level of service at the right time, while helping children develop the skills necessary to succeed with greater independence.
