ABA Therapy Programs for Franklin Families

Ascend Autism’s services are designed to address the unique needs of each child, using a naturalistic and engaging play-based methodology. Our extensive autism therapy programs in the Nashville metro focus on enhancing essential functional skills, including behavior, communication, social interactions, and daily living abilities.

Each child receives individualized therapy and support from ABA-trained Behavior Therapists, with social skills activities incorporated into all center-based services. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supervises and directs all therapeutic interventions.

Full-day Program (35-40 hours weekly)

Perfect for younger children (ages two to six).

Half-day Program (20–25 hours weekly)

Similar to the full-day program in a less time-intensive format. In the interest of providing families as much flexibility as possible, there is a half-day morning option and a half-day afternoon option.

Parent Coaching

Dedicated sessions with our Nashville-based BCBAs to support parents and ensure that skills learned in the center are also generalized in the home.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ABA therapy, and how does it help children with autism spectrum disorder?

ABA (short for applied behavioral analysis) uses positive reinforcement to help teach new skills and behaviors in various scenarios autistic children will face in life, focusing on the relationship between learning and behavior. Learn more about ABA from our “What is ABA?” article.

Is ABA therapy covered by insurance

Fortunately, ABA services are covered by the majority of health insurance plans, including Medicaid. See a list of some of our accepted health insurance plans below.

What does early intervention mean?

Broadly speaking, early intervention means any type of intervention or therapy that begins as early as possible in a child’s life. It may also refer to a state-funded/federal-funded program that provides support and therapy services to babies and children (up to age three) with developmental delays or disabilities.

Can parents attend ABA therapy with their children?

No, generally parents cannot attend in-center ABA therapy with their children. It is possible to schedule an “observational visit” if there is something in particular that the parents are looking to see, but any sort of recurring parent attendance is more disruptive than helpful. The parent coaching sessions, which are strongly encouraged as often as twice a week, are the better format to keep parents involved and ensure that the children are generalizing skills at home.
