Ascend Autism’s services are personalized to meet each child’s specific needs and are delivered through a naturalistic and engaging play-based approach. Our comprehensive autism therapy programs address and promote the core functional capabilities of behavior, communication, social skills, and daily living skills.

Every child in our care receives one-on-one therapy and support from ABA-trained Behavior Therapists. All services are overseen and directed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Our full-day ABA therapy program is suited for younger children (18 months to 6 years old). This 35–40 hour weekly program is ideal for working families in the Nashville area.

Half-day Program

Our half-day ABA therapy program offers similar benefits to the full-day program in a less intensive format of 20–25 hours per week during either a morning or afternoon session.

After-School Program

This after-school ABA therapy program is ideal for school-aged children in the Nashville area to improve communication, increase independence, and develop social skills with adults and children of similar age. This program has limited availability, so call to learn more.

Integrated Social Skills Learning

Social skills activities are integrated into each of our center-based services, allowing children to engage with others in a natural environment and practice their developing social and communication skills.

FAQs about ABA Therapy Services

What is ABA therapy? What does ABA stand for?

ABA stands for “applied behavioral analysis.” ABA uses positive reinforcement to help teach new skills and behaviors in various scenarios autistic children will face in life, focusing on the relationship between learning and behavior. Learn more from our “What is ABA?” article.

Is ABA therapy covered by insurance?

Fortunately, ABA services are covered by the majority of health insurance plans, including Medicaid. See a list of some of our accepted health insurance plans below.

What does early intervention mean?

Early intervention refers to any type of intervention or therapy that begins as early as possible in a child’s life. It may also refer to a state-funded/federal-funded program that provides support and therapy services to babies and children (up to age three) with developmental delays or disabilities.

How long does it usually take to start autism therapy services?

If there is a slot available, it typically takes three to four weeks to go from initial enrollment to your child’s first therapy session, but the timeline is highly dependent on the responsiveness of your insurance company
