Our ABA therapy center in Albany offers a comfortable, nurturing environment for your child to develop and enhance essential skills. We aim to be a trusted resource for autism support, with programs structured to foster each child’s progress and independence.
Our Albany center is designed from the ground up with children’s needs in mind. It features safe and engaging areas that support individual and group learning.
At Ascend Autism, we love to get outdoors! Your child will have a blast at our on-site outdoor playground — perfect for encouraging physical activity, social interaction, and sensory experiences. It’s a fun, safe area for play-based learning and developing physical coordination.
Our autism services are tailored to each child’s abilities and goals. We take a naturalistic, play-based approach to therapy, blending skill-building activities with meaningful experiences.
Our programs are guided by licensed, board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) who craft treatment plans that evolve with your child’s progress.
Our full-day ABA program is for younger children and emphasizes critical communication, behavior, and social skills. Running 35–40 hours per week, this program offers a robust schedule for families aiming for comprehensive, consistent growth.
Offering many benefits of the full-day program, the half-day ABA option provides added flexibility for morning or afternoon sessions. At 20–25 hours per week, this option allows kids to build essential skills at a pace that complements your family’s needs.
Designed for school-age children, our after-school program helps reinforce behavioral, social, and communication skills in a supportive peer setting. This program has limited availability, so contact us to learn more about available timeframes.
Our New York State Early Intervention (EI) Group Program offers ABA sessions for families seeking shorter-duration options or children without a formal autism diagnosis. These sessions are provided five days a week, two hours each day.¹
Social interaction is embedded in our approach, with opportunities for children to practice and develop essential social skills. Our full- and half-day programs incorporate structured activities promoting confidence and communication each day.
We offer dedicated coaching sessions to support parents in reinforcing therapy practices at home. These sessions, led by your child’s BCBA, provide strategies and techniques to promote positive behaviors beyond the center.
Enroll with Ascend Autism
To enroll, simply reach out to Ascend Autism online or by phone. As part of the registration process, please provide:
Our intake team will handle insurance verification and provide you with a welcome packet to prepare for your child’s journey with us.
Once insurance is confirmed, we’ll schedule an assessment with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This evaluation will guide creating a personalized therapy plan tailored to your child’s needs.
Following the assessment, the BCBA will arrange a consultation with you to review the plan and discuss any adjustments before sessions begin.
After the plan is approved, the BCBA submits a service request to determine session hours through your insurance provider, typically processed within two weeks.
Once finalized, our team will reach out to set a start date, and therapy sessions can commence!

Ascend Autism believes in a collaborative approach, coordinating with pediatricians, teachers, and other specialists to ensure each child receives holistic, integrated support for their unique needs.
¹ Ascend Autism is an approved and contracted NY EIP provider and all EIP services are provided with no out-of-pocket costs to parents but your health insurance may be accessed. Ascend’s Toddler Developmental Group is a publicly funded program by NY state and the county, available to children under the age of three, who are believed to have a developmental disability. Services can only be provided after eligibility is determined by a state-approved evaluator and if eligible all services are identified in collaboration with parents and authorized by the municipality at which time the municipality will arrange for service providers based on the needs of the child and family.
