ABA Therapy Programs for Farmington Families

At Ascend Autism, we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Every child is different—and so is every treatment plan. Our team of highly trained Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and behavior therapists collaborates with families to design therapy plans that reflect your child’s strengths, needs, and developmental goals.

Full-day Program

Ideal for working families, our full-day ABA program offers 35 to 40 hours of therapy each week in a structured setting focused on the key skills of behavior, communication, and social interaction.

Half-day Program

If your child does better with a shorter schedule or you're gradually transitioning into more intensive therapy, our half-day sessions offer 20 to 25 hours per week of targeted support. Choose between a morning or afternoon block to suit your family’s routine. These sessions provide consistency and structure while giving children time to rest, reset, and apply skills outside of therapy hours.

After-School Program

Our after-school program for school-aged children works to strengthen general communication skills and cultivate social skills with other children their age.

Parent Coaching

Therapy is most effective when parents feel supported. That’s why we integrate family coaching and regular feedback into every program. Our clinicians provide updates, answer questions, and offer practical strategies that families can use outside of the context of therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions about ABA Therapy in Hartford

How will ABA therapy help my child?

For many children, ABA therapy opens the door to skills they may not otherwise develop in a traditional school setting. Parents often report improved communication (including verbal and non-verbal expression), stronger attention spans, better social connections, and greater independence in daily routines.

What is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a research-backed approach that helps children with autism learn new skills and reduce behaviors that interfere with everyday life. ABA breaks down complex tasks into manageable steps, using positive reinforcement to encourage lasting behavior change.

What does success look like in the ABA therapy program?

We measure success through clear, observable progress in key areas like communication, social skills, and behavior. Parents can look forward to meaningful improvements in their child’s development.
