Ascend Autism provides ABA therapy and support services to children and their families throughout Connecticut. We offer high-quality, individualized autism treatment plans for children ages 18 months and older, providing autism therapy that supports their development needs.
Ascend Autism was created by a group of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and healthcare professionals to bring evidence-based approaches to children with autism. All interventions are guided by Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, which emphasizes the partnership between learning and behavior.
For many families with school-aged children, their home is an ideal location for a child to receive autism treatment. That’s why Ascend Autism provides in-home ABA therapy services for families in Connecticut.
ABA therapy at home allows for numerous opportunities for growth and learning. Your child most likely feels most calm and comfortable at home, making therapy more productive. Family support and participation are encouraged during in-home therapy, making it another major advantage of this type of treatment.
We offer in-home autism therapy throughout Connecticut, including:
In addition to in-home autism therapy services, we have a state-of-the-art ABA therapy center in Westport, CT. This warm and welcoming location is an ideal environment to help children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder make meaningful progress. The center environment is ideal for children aged 18 months to 6 years old, as these are the most crucial years for a child’s development.
Our programs are based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy. We also offer autism therapy with different modalities based on your child’s needs. ABA has been identified as the most effective treatment for autism-related problems. ABA assists children with improving focus, memory, social skills, language, communication, and academic performance.
Here are the core therapy programs Ascend Autism offers in Connecticut:
Early intervention can begin as soon as your child has an autism diagnosis. Signs can appear and be diagnosed in children as young as 18 months. This therapy can be provided in-center or in-home and is fully customized to your child's needs.
Targeted intervention therapy focuses on specific behaviors your child exhibits, especially regarding communication, behavioral, and social functions. This helps children communicate and socialize with their peers easier.
This program helps children with autism better understand human interaction, such as making small talk and showing an interest in those around them. Our social skills program helps teach the value of reading, reacting to cues, and more.

Our office will contact your insurance company to verify benefits and we will send you an intake packet for your child.
Once your insurance benefits have been verified, we will arrange an assessment with one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA). The BCBA will use these assessments to develop a comprehensive treatment plan for your child.
Once a plan is ready, the BCBA will schedule a meeting with you to review the treatment plan and make any final adjustments before the first therapy session.
After the assessment, the BCBA will submit a service request to the insurance company to recommend the child’s specific hours or therapy. It generally takes about two weeks to process this request.
Once your treatment plan is finalized, we will contact you to coordinate a start date. Therapy begins!
The conversation starts with you. We listen and will help you think things through, adding an unmatched level of expertise and caring guidance so you can help your child find their way. Speak with us today.
